DoorDash (Spec)

Challenge:

Persuade small independent restaurant owners to sign up with DoorDash and become a partner.

Solution:

Graphic designer John Gibson and I collaborated on this project, staying in tone with the DoorDash brand (Casual-Friday professional, Simple, Reassuring.)  I wrote the headline: “Let your customers stay home tonight” to evoke the idea of business continuity and growth… even when patrons don’t enter their restaurant!

The subhead also assures increased profits, as well as strengthened customer loyalty. 

I wanted to emphasize the feeling of appreciation from customers, with lines like “...DoorDash App…equals a relaxing evening at home…”

I knew my audience felt skeptical about new technology and services, so I created an overall feeling of ease and simplicity, to provoke the customer to ask themselves: “why wouldn't I sign up?”
